On Site How It Went
From First Visit To Final Wipe-Down
The old kitchen had swollen chipboard worktops, a single ceiling pendant and grout that had not been touched in fifteen years. We stripped everything back to sound surfaces, levelled the base units and started fresh — the family cooked on a camping stove in the living room for just over a week.
New laminate worktops went in with sealed mitre joints, a full-height ceramic splashback behind the hob, and six dimmable LED downlights on a separate circuit. Every wall was re-grouted and resealed, and the handover folder included care notes plus our two-year labour guarantee in writing.
Step By Step The Work Plan
Exactly What We Did
Strip-out and protection: dust sheets on every floor, old worktops and splashback out in half a day.
First fix: new socket circuit and downlight wiring, signed off by our licensed electrician.
Fit-off: worktops, splashback tiling, grouting and sealing across two tidy days.
Sparkle and sign-off: deep clean, care notes and a walkthrough with the customer.
